The process starts with a test — hardness, iron, manganese, pH, sulfur and bacteria, plus a flow rate reading, because half of sizing equipment correctly is knowing what your well can actually deliver. Then I explain the numbers in plain language and tell you what each option will and won't fix. Sometimes that conversation ends with a $50 filter instead of a full treatment system. That's a good outcome.
If a test comes back positive for coliform or E. coli, that's the right call to make regardless: I'll test hardness, iron, pH, TDS and sulfur on site, take a lab sample for bacteria if you want one, and measure your flow rate. Then you'll know what you're actually dealing with before anyone talks about equipment.
